Aizawl, Feb 13 : Central Committee of Young Mizo
Association (YMA) has collected more than Rs 30 lakh through
its 90 branches in Aizawl for the victims of the fire that
ravaged Saiha town in south Mizoram's Saiha district, J
Lalsailova, finance secretary of Central YMA today said.
Lalsailova told PTI that the money would be handed
over to YMA's Saiha group on Tuesday by a team of the central
YMA leaders in Saiha.
More than 66 families were affected by the fire that
damaged parts of Saiha on February 1 and gutted 29 private
houses and three government buildings while ten houses have to
be dismantled in order to control the raging fire.
While no one died in the fire, three persons,
including a fireman were injured while trying to put out the
fire.
