The commissioned 107 missionaries comprise of lay missionaries and ordained pastors who will be serving in India and abroad.
The Mizoram Presbyterian Church under the Synod Mission Board has 17 mission dedicated fields in India along with many partnership missions across the globe. At present, the Church has more than 1912 Mission workers working in these missions. Last year the Church commissioned 81 missionaries and this year the number has grown to 107 missionaries.
Rev.Thangzauva, Moderator of Mizoram Synod who commissioned these 107 missionaries said, "This has been the largest number of missionaries being sent out at one time by the Mizoram Presbyterian Church and it might be the largest in the world as well."
The Synod Mission Board recruits missionaries yearly and it receives many applications each year, while it could only recruit a few. There are many aspiring youths who are still waiting to be sent out to serve!
The Church praises God for the wonderful blessings and prays that God, through this Church, will continue to raise up many men for His work in India and around the world.
'To GOD be the Glory, Great things He has done.'
