Aizawl, Aug 6 (PTI) Except for few private financial institutions, most of the banks in Mizoram remained close today due to a one-day strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions. State Bank of India officials here said that they joined more than ten lakh bank employees across the country in the strike and the banks would reopen from tomorrow. Meanwhile, many SBI ATMs were not functioning in the capital Aizawl city due to different reasons including abseNce of cash and technical snags rendering many people cashless.
