Man injured by wild boar in Mizoram

A 22-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked by a wild boar in the jungle on Mizoram-Tripura border, reports reaching here today said.

The incident occured near Luangpawl village in Mamit distrct on Saturday, delayed reports said.

The victim, Penga, first shot the wild boar injuring it and the latter attacked him while he was tracking the wounded animal, the reports said.

Penga sustained more than ten injuries and was compelled to spend a night in the jungle after which he managed to reach a jhum hut on Sunday where he was found by farmers yesterday.

He was admitted at the Mamit district hospital and treated for his injuries.
