Aizawl, Nov 8 (PTI) Stray dogs have caused serious
problem in south Mizoram's Lunglei town with at least 30
people being bitten by dogs during October alone, police today
said.
A senior police officer told PTI over phone that more
than 30 people have been treated for dog bite during last
month and there was a possibility of unreported cases.
More than 100 people have been bitten by dogs in the
streets during the past few months, in the town, the officer
said.
While the costs of anti-rabies injections have been
usually borne by the owners of the canines, there were some
cases where the victims have to bear the costs, he added.
