Acting on a tip-off, the BSF-Tlabung police team arrested Fulenda Chakma (18) said to be a resident of Srirampur of Tripuara’s Dhalai district.
A 22 mm pistol and ammunition were seized from his possession on Saturday morning.
Based on his confession, the team arrested his accomplice Kukumoni Chakma (25), said to be a resident of Maidasora in Mizoram’s Lunglei district later in the night.
Police said the arrested duo did not belong any insurgent group, but were suppliers of arms to the insurgent groups.
