Jalandhar, June 28 The Union Home Ministry has sought a report from the state government regarding the progress in the case pertaining to the death of a Mizoram student during a soccer match at the



Lovely Professional University, Phagwara.
The Home Ministry has questioned the state government about the action that was taken in the case that created ripples in Mizoram.
Hailing from Lunglei district in Mizoran, Johny F. Lalhmangaih Zuala (22), a student of B.Tech (civil engineering), was allegedly kicked with spiked shoes by Sudanese and Tanzanian students during a friendly soccer match on the university campus on April 26.
DGP PS Gill said the Punjab police had submitted a report on the issue.
