Addressing the 38th general conference of the Mizoram Journalists' Association (MJA) here, Lal Thanhawla, a former journalist, asked media persons to be careful while collecting news from the Internet to avoid publishing news harmful to the general public.
"You have to follow journalistic ethics and verify the veracity of the news before publication," he said.Mizoram, which has a population of around 10 lakh, has 91 dailies, 14 periodicals and 15 local television channels while the MJA has 228 members.
