Kam Khan Mang, who has both Indian electoral photo identity card (EPIC) and Myanmar citizen identity card known as Mahpumtren, was arrested by airport security officials for carrying 3.755 kg of semi-precious stones. He was immediately handed over to the directorate of revenue intelligence. Kam Khan Mang, who entered his name as K Manga, son of Z Zachina, of Zemabawk locality in Aizawl has also two Indian driving licences for motor cycle and LMV, one issued in Churachandpur, Manipur, and the other issued in Aizawl. In his Churachandpur driving licence, his name was written as K K Mangpu, son of Lian Thang, a resident of New Lamka, Churachandpur. In his Aizawl driving licence, his name was mentioned as K Manga, son of Zelchina of Electric Veng, Aizawl.
Besides these documents, the man also possessed an entry permit to India issued by officer-in-charge of immigration check post at Zokhawthar, Indo-Myanmar border point on January 31, 2011. The permit is valid till March 2, 2011 and he was allowed to roam only 40 kms from the border. In this permit, his permanent address is stated to be Tahan in Myanmar.
