Gayatri Projects bags order worth Rs 5.44 bn from Mizoram

Gayatri Projects announced that it has bagged new order from Government of Mizoram of Rs 5.44 billion.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Feb. 18, 2011, falling 16.98% compared with the Sensex`s 4.61% decline. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 40.47% as against 8.63% fall in the Sensex.

Recently the company disclosed rise of 15.48% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 177.29 million, while total income rose 15.13% y-o-y basis to Rs 3.85 billion for the quarter ended December 2010.

Shares of Gayatri Projects gained Rs 0.3, or 0.13%, to trade at Rs 229.80. The total volume of shares traded was 2,036 at the BSE (10.29 a.m., Monday).
